IZEP won two Gold Awards

SOLAFLO's IZEP, the Intelligent Zero Emissions Pump, won two gold awards at the Good Design Awards: the Engineering and Design Award and the Product Design Award. This recognised the pump's exceptional design, innovation, and real-world performance.
The jury praised SOLAFLO's IZEP, commenting:
"The Intelligent Zero Emissions Pump is an integration of cutting edge components, new hydraulic design, and proprietary system intelligence to halve the energy required for the transfer of water compared to existing designs. Being natively solar powered, grid emissions and running costs are eliminated. The jury commends the development of the IZEP pump for its groundbreaking approach to reducing energy consumption in water transfer systems. The integration of advanced hydraulic design and solar power represents a significant advancement in pump technology, offering both environmental and operational benefits. Its potential for widespread application and retrofit into existing systems makes it a valuable contribution to sustainable engineering."
SolMate PV+T solar module
SolMate is a photovoltaic-thermal (PV+T) solar module that integrates seamlessly with the IZEP pump, providing efficient power and heat. Its native DC output delivers lossless compatibility with the pump, while each compact module (845mm × 1300mm × 25mm, 17kg) produces 180W of DC power and up to 1000W of thermal energy.
Water cooling keeps the panel running efficiently and extends its life, and because it runs on solar energy, operation is emissions-free with zero running costs. Built for harsh Australian conditions, SolMate is scalable from pool systems to domestic hot water and beyond, redefining what solar energy can deliver.

Solaflo was named one of six South Australian manufacturers commencing projects under the Manufacturing Growth Accelerator, a program supported by the Department of State Development and delivered in partnership with Flinders University's Factory of the Future.
"Solaflo are focusing on an assembly system design for the Good Design award-winning Intelligent Zero Emissions Pump (IZEP), a high-efficiency water pump for swimming pools and other water pumping applications."

Intelligent Zero Emissions Pump
The SA Climate Leaders Awards are an initiative of the Premier's Climate Change Council that recognise the achievements of individuals and organisations taking action to address climate change in South Australia.
The 2026 awards attracted a record number of nominations, highlighting the growing momentum of climate action across the state.
Winners and finalists were recognised for their innovation, leadership and commitment to reducing emissions, building resilience and creating more sustainable communities.
SOLAFLO was named one of three finalists from the overall 54 applicants in the 2026 SA Climate Leaders Awards for the IZEP, an intelligent, solar-powered pool and spa management system designed and manufactured in Adelaide. The patented technology integrates pumping, filtration, sterilisation, lighting and robotic cleaning into a single, low-emissions platform.
